Jonathan E. Halperin, Esquire

Firm owner Jonathan Halperin is an AV® Rated attorney with a wealth of experience from trials in both state and federal courts. He was selected as a 2015 Leader in the Law by Virginia Lawyers Weekly, was named to the Virginia Super Lawyer® list, was voted one of the Best Lawyers in Richmond in Richmond's Style Weekly, and has been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America since 2016 from Best Lawyers®. With his "10 out of 10" Superb Avvo score, he is a force to be reckoned with.

Mr. Halperin has been in practice for over 30 years, and during that time, he has left his mark on the world through ground-breaking legal actions. Andrew Lucchetti, Esq.

Attorney Andrew Lucchetti received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from the University of Richmond, School of Law. Mr. Lucchetti scored in the top 1% of all test-takers nationwide on his law school admissions test and entered law school at the University of Richmond in the prestigious John Marshall Scholars program.

While in law school, Mr. Lucchetti worked as a law clerk for Attorney Jonathan Halperin and has continued to work with him since. Prior to working with Mr. Halperin, he was unsure which of area of law he wanted to practice. After seeing the way that Mr. Halperin and the Halperin Law Center helped their clients, he decided he, too, would devote his practice to representing clients who were seriously hurt by the negligence of others.

During his time at the University of Richmond, Mr. Lucchetti participated in the Jeanette Lipman Family Law Clinic, helping underrepresented clients get the legal representation they deserved. The Clinic is an in-house clinic at the University of Richmond that provides legal assistance to families and children in the City of Richmond where he represented clients under the supervision of an attorney. Areas of representation included family law issues such as abuse and neglect, divorce, custody, child in need of supervision/services (CHINS), public benefits, housing, and domestic violence.The Clinic is a full-year course for second and third year law students wherein students participate in all aspects of legal representation, including in and out-of-court advocacy, interviewing clients, drafting court documents, and legal research and writing. In addition, Mr. Lucchetti served as the President of the Client Counseling and Negotiation Board, and was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society.

Isaac A. McBeth, Esquire

Isaac A. McBeth is an attorney and tactician who primarily focuses his practice on complex federal litigation, constitutional litigation, and medical malpractice cases. As a former member of the military intelligence community and a former defense attorney, he possesses a unique ability to maximize traditional tools of legal advocacy such as writing and oral argument while simultaneously employing case-specific tactics to optimize his clients’ chances of victory.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. McBeth served in the U.S. Army for 8 years in the field of military intelligence. He graduated with a BA in Legal Studies from American Military University, achieving a GPA of 3.97. He then earned his J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law as a John Marshall Scholar.

During his time in law school, Mr. McBeth earned a number of academic achievements, including serving as an Articles and Comments Editor for the University of Richmond Law Review, and membership in the McNeill Law Society (an honor reserved for law students ranked in the top 10% of their class). He graduated 2nd in his class. He was recognized for excellence in academics by being admitted to the Order of the Coif and for excellence in legal advocacy skills by being admitted to the Order of the Barristers. He also received the Charles T. Norman Award, given by the University to the best overall graduating student as determined by the law school faculty and administration.

Mr. McBeth began his legal practice at a large Richmond-area law firm and subsequently joined a boutique firm, where he specialized in malpractice and constitutional claims. His practice became exclusively focused on litigating complex federal cases involving alleged violations of constitutional rights under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, as well as prosecuting Federal Tort Claims Act claims on behalf of veterans who had been injured by the medical negligence of Department of Veterans Affairs’ employees.

As an Associate with the Halperin Law Center, Mr. McBeth focuses his practice on representing those deprived of their constitutional rights by state and federal employees, particularly inmates and detainees whose constitutional right to receive medical care during incarceration has been violated. He also represents individuals who have been seriously injured as a result of medical malpractice and individuals who have been injured due to the negligence of others.
