Overview
Tommy Odom was born in Chapel Hill and raised on a farm in Mecklenburg County near Charlotte. While growing up, Tommy’s father, Fountain Odom, who is of counsel for The Odom Firm, practiced law in Charlotte and served as Mecklenburg County Commissioner before being elected to the North Carolina State Senate. Following law school, Tommy practiced law for twelve years in the long-standing and respected firm of Weinstein, Sturges, Odom, Bigger, Campbell and Jonas in Charlotte. In the year 2000, Tommy founded The Odom Firm. He continues to focus his practice on eminent domain, personal injury, and civil litigation.
While still in law school, David Murray interned at The Odom Firm in the summer of 2007 working on zoning cases. After graduating in 2008, David returned to Charlotte, where he was born, and joined The Odom Firm. He now leads the firm’s zoning and land use law practice while also primarily focusing on eminent domain cases along with Tommy Odom. Tommy and David have been counsel on several multi-million dollar eminent domain matters since 2008.
Bringing many years of experience, Martha Odom joined the firm in 2004 taking on the firm's social security disability, competency, guardianship and personal injury practices.
